ANKARA (AA) - The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund on Thursday announced that next year’s annual meetings planned to take place in Marrakesh, Morocco in October 2021 will be postponed by 12 months until 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The annual meetings are normally held for two consecutive years at the World Bank and IMF headquarters in Washington DC and every third year in another member country.
During the meetings, central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, civil society leaders, media figures, and academics come together to discuss issues of global concern.
