ANKARA (AA) – The World Bank has provided financing for renewable energy projects through the Development Investment Bank of Türkiye (TKYB), according to a statement posted on Türkiye's Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Thursday.
The TKYB has received a loan of €300 million (approximately $325 million) from the World Bank’s largest institution International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and $15 million from the Clean Technology Fund (CTF), besides a grant of $1.5 million from the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP).
The Turkish bank will provide financing for projects involving distributed solar energy and battery energy storage systems, the statement said.
