Global crude steel output increased 3.3% at an annualized pace in November, according to World Steel Association (worldsteel) data released on Thursday.
World steel production for the 71 countries reporting to worldsteel amounted to 145.5 million tons in November.
Except for Japan and Germany, the world's top 10 steel producers saw a rise in output last month.
The world's number one steel producer China saw a 0.4% rise to 76.1 million tons.
The steel production of India – the number two producer – surged 11.4% to 11.7 million tons during the same period. The figure was down 0.9% to 7.1 million tons in Japan while up 6.1% to 6.6 million in the US.
Türkiye, the world's eighth-largest crude steel producer, soared 25.4% year-on-year in crude steel production, to 3 million tons in November.
