ANKARA (AA) - The FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia will continue with three matches on Friday with title contenders Brazil squaring off against Costa Rica.

Brazil will take on Costa Rica in the first match of the day in Group E at the Saint Petersburg Stadium at 3 p.m. local time (1200GMT).

Brazil and Switzerland drew 1-1 in their first match. Costa Rica was defeated by Serbia 1-0.

In Group D, Nigeria will take on Iceland at Volgograd Arena at 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT).

Nigeria was defeated by Croatia 2-0 in their first match. Iceland and Argentina drew 1-1.

A possible victory by Iceland will severely jeopardize 2014 runners-up Argentina's chances to advance to the second round. They were stunned by Croatia 3-0 late Thursday and only got 1 point so far.

The last match of the day will pit Serbia against Switzerland at the Kaliningrad Stadium at 9 p.m. local time (1800GMT).

Serbia defeated Costa Rica 1-0 in their first Group E match after Aleksandar Kolarov's direct free-kick.
