ISTANBUL (AA) - Ukraine's delayed World Cup playoff semifinal match against Scotland has been set for June 1, FIFA confirmed on Thursday.
"The European qualifying play-off between Scotland and Ukraine will be played on 1 June and the winners will face Wales on 5 June in the play-off final for the remaining European spot at football's flagship event at the end of the year," FIFA said in a statement.
"The rescheduled fixtures have resulted in the UEFA Nations League calendar being adjusted for some of the games in order to accommodate the postponed play-off matches," it added.
The semifinal clash was due to be held at Glasgow's Hampden Park on March 24 but was postponed due to Russia's war on Ukraine.
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be held from Nov. 21 to Dec. 18 with 32 teams in eight groups. Ukraine, Scotland or Wales will play against England, Iran and the US in the Group B.
