RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AA) - One person died and two other were injured after Yemen shot ballistic missiles at Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh late Sunday.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), media spokesman of Civil Defense in Riyadh, Mohammed Al-Hammadi said that the Saudi air defense shot down seven ballistic missiles fired by Yemen's Houthi militia.
An Egyptian expat died from the ballistic missile debris, the first death in Riyadh since the country's military campaign was launched three years ago in Yemen.
"One of the shrapnel fell on a residential house resulting in the martyrdom of an expatriate and the wounding of two others, all of them of Egyptian nationality," the agency said.
