JERUSALEM (AA) - A young Israeli woman was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack in a city near Tel Aviv on Friday, and the assailant was “neutralized,” according to Israeli media.
The 18-year young was seriously injured in a stabbing attack in the city of Ramla, the Israeli broadcasting authority and Yedioth Ahronoth daily both reported.
The authority claimed that the stabbing attack was “carried out for nationalist motives,” without providing further details.
The news comes months into a devastating war launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip, which has left some 34,000 people dead, mostly women and children, and caused a humanitarian catastrophe and massive infrastructure destruction, leading Israel to face charges of genocide before the International Court of Justice.
Israel typically uses the term “neutralized” to refer to army or police forces shooting with the intention of killing.
