LUSAKA, Zambia (AA) – Zambia’s Transport and Logistics Minister, Frank Tayali, said Wednesday that his country is keen to benefit from the advanced technology offered by Türkiye.
Tayali said this includes the development of infrastructure and drone technology to help in the monitoring of road and rail transport.
"Zambia sees the importance of collaboration and would like to see more investors from Türkiye coming in to partner with us in the transport and logistics sector," he said while receiving a courtesy call from Türkiye's Ambassador to Zambia Huseyin Barbaros Dicle in the capital, Lusaka.
Dicle said Türkiye appreciates the importance of collaboration with the Southern African nation, adding that investors from Türkiye were keen on investing in Africa's second largest copper producing nation's transport and logistics sector.
He said Türkiye is ready to support Zambia in building institutional capacity to enable industrial development.
"Zambia offers varied opportunities for investment from Türkiye in many sectors, including agriculture, tourism and transport and logistics," he added.
