GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) - Several Palestinians were reportedly killed and injured Friday in a series of Israeli raids across the Gaza Strip.

A medical source told Anadolu that the bodies of two women and five people who were injured arrived at the Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza after an Israeli airstrike on the home of the Abu Owemer family in the camp.

The army continued shelling the Shejaiya neighborhood in eastern Gaza City, leaving large-scale damage in residential areas, field sources told Anadolu.

A medical source in the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip told Anadolu that one person was killed and several who were injured arrived at the hospital after an Israeli airstrike on the Bani Suhaila area in eastern Khan Younis.

A Palestinian was killed in Rafah by Israeli fire while participating in securing humanitarian aid trucks passing through the eastern area of the city, according to field and medical sources.

Workers securing aid trucks, along with police personnel, have been targeted several times by the Israeli army that have killed dozens of aid workers.

Israel, flouting a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on Gaza since an Oct. 7 attack by the Palestinian group, Hamas.

More than 38,000 Palestinians have since been killed, mostly women and children, and over 87,000 injured, according to local health authorities.

Nearly nine months into the Israeli war, vast tracts of Gaza lie in ruins amid a crippling blockade of food, clean water and medicine.

Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, whose latest ruling ordered it to immediately halt its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where more than 1 million Palestinians had sought refuge from the war before it was invaded on May 6.
