Somali, Azerbaijani defense chiefs talk military cooperation

MOGADISHU, Somalia (AA) - Somalia and Azerbaijan on Wednesday discussed military cooperation between the two countries.

Somali Defense Minister Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov in Baku, capital of the South Caucasus country.

“We discussed strengthening defense cooperation and enhancing security partnerships for a safer future," Nur said on X afterwards.

The meeting also touched on joint efforts in the fight against terrorism, according to Somalia’s Defense Ministry.
