Sotheby’s to hold $141M Modern, Contemporary Art Sale in London

ISTANBUL (AA) – Sotheby's will hold its Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale on March 4 at its London headquarters, offering works valued at more than £110 million ($140.8 million).

The auction house presented highlights during a preview ahead of the sale. Among the leading lots is a “Self-Portrait” by Francis Bacon, estimated at £8 million to £12 million.

A quartet of works by Claude Monet, Paul Signac, Edgar Degas and Fernand Leger, with a combined high estimate of £24 million, will also headline the evening auction.
