By Anadolu staff
South Korea on Saturday launched its third military spy satellite from a US space center in California, according to local media.
South Korean indigenous spy satellite was launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from the Vandenberg Space Force Base as planned, Seoul-based Yonhap News agency reported.
This is the third military satellite launched by Seoul as the first one was launched last December followed by the second one in April.
Seoul plans to send two more satellites into space by 2025.
In March, Seoul said that its first military spy satellite had "successfully" transmitted "good-resolution" images of the central part of the North Korean capital Pyongyang back home.
