Workers seeking bonuses for extra workload for Paris Olympics

Railway traffic was disrupted Tuesday in the Ile-de-France region in central France due to a strike, according to media reports.
Workers from the railway company SNCF announced a strike linked to potential bonuses during the Olympic Games in Paris this summer, the daily 20 Minutes reported.
A disruption was planned during the rush hours in Paris and the surrounding region.
Deputy Secretary General of the CGT-Cheminots trade union, Romain Pitelet, told broadcaster France Bleu earlier that there would be 4,000 additional trains during the Games, with 10 million tourists, which means “an additional work to do, so there must be work means to ensure a good quality of public service.”
The primary target for workers is to put pressure on authorities to obtain bonuses for the workload they would have to endure during the Games.
