SunExpress launches new route to Nuremberg, Germany
Turkish-German carrier begins operating direct flights from Izmir to Nuremberg, for first time during winter season

ANKARA (AA) - A joint venture of flag carrier Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa based in Turkey's southern province of Antalya, SunExpress added Nuremberg, Germany to its flight network, it said in a statement on Monday.
The commercial airline will also increase its flight capacity and frequency to Turkey's western province of Izmir during the 2020 winter season, according to the statement.
Celebrating its 30th year in aviation and tourism, the company said it was deepening its roots in Izmir, SunExpress's second base since 2012.
"SunExpress has begun operating direct flights from Izmir to Nuremberg once a week for the first time under the winter season," it added.
The company added more daily flights this winter reaching up to four trips between Izmir and Antalya and up to three between Izmir and Adana in southern Turkey.
It also continues to operate daily flights from Izmir to Van, eastern Turkey, as well as increasing weekly trips to Trabzon to five, Kayseri to four and Malatya, Kars, Erzurum and Samsun to three.
On international routes, during the winter season, SunExpress will boost the number of flights to Berlin and Hamburg as well as to Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart, departing from Izmir.
SunExpress, which continues its efforts to increase the number of flights to and from Izmir within the scope of its growth strategy, offers connections from 11 cities in Turkey to 17 destinations in Europe via its Izmir base during the winter season.
