Syria offers condolences to Türkiye over officers killed in anti-ISIS operation
Damascus stresses need to continue uprooting terrorist organizations in all their forms

ISTANBUL (AA) – Syria offered condolences to Ankara on Monday over the deaths of three security officers during an operation against the ISIS (Daesh) terror group in Türkiye’s northwest.
An Interior Ministry statement extended its “sincere condolences and sympathy to the Republic of Türkiye” over the killing of three Turkish police officers during clashes with ISIS in the city of Yalova.
It said the incident underscores the threat posed by the terror group to stability across the region.
The ministry stressed the need “to continue uprooting terrorist organizations in all their forms” and highlighted the importance of strengthening regional and international coordination to combat them in order to protect civilians and reinforce security and stability.
Turkish authorities carried out the operation early Monday in Yalova, killing six ISIS members. Three police officers were killed and eight others wounded, according to the Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.
