ANKARA (AA) - The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) reported that Bashar al-Assad regime forces in Syria have detained nearly 100 refugees sent from Lebanon over the past month.

The regime forces detained 98 civilians, including one child and two women, who were forcibly returned from Lebanon through the Masnaa Border Crossing between Lebanon and Syria, according to SNHR's April report on civilians detained by conflicting parties in Syria.

The report stressed that the regime forces did not provide any justification for the detention of these people, highlighting that most of them had not even participated in actions that could be considered crimes against the regime.

It said the Lebanese army has conducted raids and arrest campaigns targeting Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

After their deportation from Lebanon, refugees were taken to detention centers by Bashar Al-Assad regime forces, the report added.

At least 135,638 individuals, who are arbitrarily detained or forcibly disappeared, remain in custody, it said.
