President Faure Gnassingbe said on Twitter that his country is proud to be the first African nation to receive the Johnson and Johnson vaccine produced on the African continent.
Togo, which already uses Sinovac, AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccines, ordered 4 million doses of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine under the coordination of the African Vaccine Foundation.
