Azabudai Hills Mori JP Tower breaks records as Japan's tallest skyscraper

ISTANBUL (AA) - Japan's tallest skyscraper was completed in Tokyo on Monday, reaching a height of 330 meters, surpassing the previous record by 30 meters.

The skyscraper, Azabudai Hills Mori JP Tower, is set to fully open in the fall season, according to Tokyo-based Kyodo News.

The building features 64 above-ground floors and an additional five underground levels, offering a range of luxury facilities and services.

The building was designed by the American company Pelli Clarke & Partners. Along with the building, the construction of the green area called Discrit C has been completed. Its rental area totals 204,000m², according to Mori Building Company, who built the skyscraper.

Previously, the tallest building in Japan was the 300-meter Abeno Harukas in Osaka.

Meanwhile, Mitsubishi Estate Co. is currently undertaking the construction of a skyscraper near Tokyo, expected to reach an impressive height of 390 meters by fiscal year 2027.
