Turkish, Russian, Iranian, and Armenian foreign ministers expected to attend

ISTANBUL (AA) - Azerbaijan on Monday said its top diplomat is traveling to the Iranian capital Tehran to participate in the second 3+3 format meeting on the South Caucasus.
“Minister Jeyhun Bayramov's speech at the event, as well as bilateral meetings, are planned as part of the visit,” the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Tehran is hosting the meeting of the six-nation platform, with the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Armenia expected to attend.
The talks, according to state news agency IRNA, will address current issues in the South Caucasus region, Azerbaijan-Armenia peace talks, and the need to expand regional cooperation in the fields of political, economic, security, transit and energy.
Georgia, however, is not participating in the dialogue, and the Foreign Ministry said it is due to the Russian factor. The two countries suspended diplomatic ties following a war in 2008.
The first talks in the 3+3 format were held in Moscow in December 2021 at the deputy foreign ministers level, also without Georgia's participation.
