Top Palestinian official, UAE foreign minister discuss Israeli war on Gaza
Both sides agree to create 'international bloc' for immediate cease-fire in besieged Gaza

RAMALLAH, Palestine (AA) – A top Palestinian official and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) foreign minister on Tuesday discussed the latest developments in Palestine and the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.
Hussein Al-Sheikh, the secretary of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)'s Executive Committee, said in a statement that Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed and he reviewed the "joint efforts to stop this devastating war and ways to open safe corridors to bring food and medicine" to the besieged people in Gaza.
He also said they agreed to coordinate for creating "an international bloc to support an immediate cease-fire" in Gaza.
Israel has launched relentless air, and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip since a cross-border attack by Hamas a month ago.
At least 10,022 Palestinians, including 4,104 children and 2,641 women, have been killed in the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7. Israeli death toll, meanwhile, is nearly 1,600, according to official figures.
