Trump media sues justice on Brazil’s top court for alleged censorship
Lawsuit comes as former President Bolsonaro indicted for allegedly attempting coup to overturn election loss in 2022

ISTANBUL (AA) - The Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), the parent company of Truth Social, sued Brazilian Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes on Wednesday, alleging unlawful suppression of conservative voices on social media, according to The New York Times.
The lawsuit, filed in a US federal court in the state of Florida, claims Moraes’ actions violate the First Amendment and unlawfully suppressed conservative voices.
The lawsuit follows Moraes’ indictment of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, a Trump ally, for an alleged coup plot to overturn his 2022 election loss.
Bolsonaro, who denies any wrongdoing, had urged Trump to act against Moraes in a recent interview with the newspaper.
Rumble, a Florida-based video platform, also joined the lawsuit, arguing Moraes’ orders to remove accounts infringe on free speech.
