Trump withdraws from Paris climate agreement
US president also signs letter that will be transmitted to UN explaining withdrawal from treaty

WASHINGTON (AA) - President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday to withdraw the US from the Paris climate agreement.
He also signed a letter that will be transmitted to the UN explaining the withdrawal from the treaty.
Trump originally withdrew the US from the climate agreement, which enshrines the UN’s climate objectives, in 2019.
Former President Joe Biden quickly re-entered the accord on his first day in office.
Trump was sworn in earlier to begin his second term.
