ISTANBUL (AA) - A framed copy of US President Donald Trump's historic mugshot now hangs in a White House hallway leading to the Oval Office, positioned near portraits of past presidents.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino shared a video on X, showing the framed New York Post front page featuring Trump’s mugshot. The photograph is displayed near portraits of George Washington and Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The mugshot was taken during Trump’s booking at Fulton County Jail in Georgia in August 2023, marking the first time a current or former US president had such a photo taken.

Trump surrendered to authorities in Georgia over charges related to alleged efforts to overturn the state’s 2020 election results.
