Tunisia says security forces eliminate 4-member terror cell in west

TUNIS, Tunisia/ISTANBUL (AA) - Tunisia’s Interior Ministry said Thursday that security forces eliminated a four-member terror cell during a security operation in the western Governorate of Kasserine.

A statement said security forces eliminated the cell in an area near Majel Bel Abbes after tracking the members for several days.

Tunisia has faced sporadic terror attacks since 2011, with violence intensifying from 2013 and resulting in dozens of deaths to security personnel, soldiers and foreign tourists.​​​​​​​
