Panel of 18 economists forecast $3.9B current account deficit for November

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's current account deficit is projected to stand at $3.9 billion in November, a group of economists said on Wednesday.
A panel of 19 experts surveyed by Anadolu Agency forecasted on average a $3.9 billion deficit for November, up $1.63 billion, meaning a 70 percent rise compared to the $2.27 billion deficit of November 2016.
The country's current account deficit figures for last year are set to be made public on Friday, Jan. 12.
The economists also forecast that Turkey's year-end current account deficit will reach $45.4 billion -- the highest forecast at $48.4 billion, the lowest at $41 billion. Turkey's 2016 deficit was $32.6 billion.
Turkey's current account deficit in October was $3.8 billion with a 12-month rolling deficit of approximately $41.9 billion, according to the Turkish Central Bank.
