The country's current account deficit figures for last year are set to be made public on Friday, Jan. 12.

The economists also forecast that Turkey's year-end current account deficit will reach $45.4 billion -- the highest forecast at $48.4 billion, the lowest at $41 billion. Turkey's 2016 deficit was $32.6 billion.

Turkey's current account deficit in October was $3.8 billion with a 12-month rolling deficit of approximately $41.9 billion, according to the Turkish Central Bank.
