Turkey distributes hygiene materials in Chad
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency provides aid to health centers amid coronavirus pandemic

KHARTOUM, Sudan (AA) – Turkey’s state-run aid agency distributed hygiene products to health centers in Chad amid the novel coronavirus outbreak, the agency said late Monday.
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) handed out a total of 100 mechanical hand washing systems and liquid soap in 10 districts of the capital N’Djamena, the aid body said in a statement.
Last month, TIKA also distributed hygiene materials in schools in N’Djamena.
The Central African country has reported 889 coronavirus cases, 801 recoveries and 75 fatalities so far, according to figures compiled by the US’ Johns Hopkins University.
The global pandemic claimed nearly 608,500 lives in 188 countries and regions since it has originated in China last December.
The US, Brazil, India, and Russia are currently the worst-hit countries in the world.
More than 14.6 million COVID-19 cases have been reported worldwide, with recoveries exceeding 8.2 million, shows Johns Hopkins data.
