Turkey: Economic confidence index down in January
Index registers decline of 3.9 percent from December to January, according to Turkish Statistical Institute

ANKARA (AA) - The economic confidence index in Turkey was lower month-on-month in January according to official data released on Monday.
The index was down 3.9 percent to 85.7, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a report.
This month-on-month decrease was driven by deteriorations in the services, real sector, construction and retail trade confidence indices.
The services confidence index saw a slide of 6.2 percent. Real sector and construction confidence indices followed with 3 and 1.7 percent declines respectively.
The retail trade confidence index slightly dropped by 0.2 percent.
However, consumer confidence soared by 5.6 percent to reach 66.9 from 63.4 in January month-on-month.
