Turkey foreign minister due in UK for Jordan conference

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will visit the U.K. on Thursday to attend an international conference on Jordan, according to the Foreign Ministry.

During the Conference on Jordan's Growth and Opportunity - London Initiative 2019, Cavusoglu is expected to meet with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi and other officials, said a ministry statement on Wednesday.

Exploring commercial opportunities, the conference will be co-hosted by the U.K. and Jordanian governments to promote economic growth, reforms, employment, and investments in Jordan.

According to the U.K. government, the meeting aims to mobilize international political leaders and businesspeople to invest in Jordan and unlock the pathway to economic transformation.
