ANKARA (AA) - Prosecutors in Turkey's capital Ankara have issued arrest warrants for 14 Health Ministry personnel allegedly linked to FETO, the group behind 2016 defeated coup, judicial officials said on Thursday.
According to the Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office, four of the 14 suspects are current ministry personnel, while eight are former, and two are retired.
Seven out of the 14 suspects have been arrested, while the search for the remainder continues.
The arrest warrants were issued over links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), under an investigation being carried out by the Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau.
FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
Ankara also accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.
