Turkey's benchmark stock index down 0.66% at close

BIST 100 index falls nearly 686.96 points from previous close, USD/TRY exchange rate stands around 5.56

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended Tuesday down 0.66% to close at 102,686.11 points.

Starting the day at 103,519.28 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased 686.96 points from Monday's close at 103,373.07 points.

An ounce of gold sold for $1,428.50 at the daily close in Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, versus $1,419.70 at the previous close.

The price of Brent oil was $63.95 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Tuesday, with a day range of $63.62 to $64.41.
