Turkey's Borsa Istanbul bounces back to close Wednesday with record
BIST 100 index gains 21.44 points, or 1.27%, from previous close of 1,685.60 points

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index bounced back from losses in its previous session to close on Wednesday with gains, posting a new record closing of 1,707.04 points.
After starting the day at 1,683.10 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 21.44 point, or 1.27%, from Tuesday's close of 1,685.60 points.
The diminished closing of the previous session ended nine-day winning streak for the BIST 100.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,859.50 by market close, down from $1,870.55 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was down 0.8% to $81.76 per barrel as of 6.47 p.m. local time (1547GMT).
