Turkey's Borsa Istanbul closes above 1,900 for 1st time with new records
BIST 100 gains 30.35 points, or 1.61%, from previous close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index ended with gains on Friday to surpass 1,900 points for the first time in history, with another record closing of 1,910.41 points, while it hit a new intraday all-time high of 1,914.13 points during the session.
Starting the day at 1,896.82 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 30.35 points, or 1.61%, from the previous close of 1,880.06 points.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,770.10 by market close, down from $1,775.20 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was up 3.9% to $72.38 per barrel as of 6.31 p.m. local time (1531GMT).
