Turkey's Borsa Istanbul closes above 2,100 with new record
BIST 100 gains 66.03 points, or 3.24%, from previous close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed higher on Monday to climb above 2,100 points for the first time in history and ended the day at a new record-high level of 2,101.51 points.
Starting the day at 2,056 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 66.03 points, or 3.24%, from the previous close of 2,035.48 points.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,783.95 by market close, up from $1,771.10 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was up 1.1% to $74.32 per barrel as of 6.30 p.m. local time (1530GMT).
