Turkey's Borsa Istanbul closes Monday on high note

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 101,267.36 points on Monday, up 2.54% from the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 100,086.33 points. As of the daily close, it gained 2,508.40 points from Friday's close of 98,449.46 points.

During the day, the index hovered between 100,086.33 points and 101,147.15 points.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 710 billion Turkish liras ($102 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 15 billion Turkish liras ($2.1 billion).
