Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul down 0.23% at Wednesday's close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed at 1,413.54 points on Wednesday, down 0.23% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,421.31 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 3.28 points from Tuesday's close of 1,416.82 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1,766.25 by market close, up from $1,762.30 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was down 0.1% to $83.34 per barrel as of 6:42 p.m. local time (1542GMT).
