Turkey’s Borsa Istanbul down 0.51% at Monday's close

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed at 1,394.37 points on Monday, down 0.51% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,402.73 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index lost 7.09 points from Friday’s close of 1,401.46 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1,752.95 by market close, down from $1,756.10 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was up 2.9% to $81.58 per barrel as of 6.29 p.m. local time (1529GMT).
