Turkey's Borsa Istanbul down at Tuesday's close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,434.43 points on Tuesday, down 0.27% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,440.67 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 3.85 points from Monday's close of 1,438.28 points.

One ounce of gold traded for $1.789,85 by market close, up from $1.789 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $73.62 per barrel with a 0.15% gain as of 6.48 p.m. local time (1548GMT).
