Turkey's Borsa Istanbul down at Tuesday's close

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,384.42 points on Tuesday, down 0.53% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,391.44 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 7.32 points from the previous close of 1,391.74 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was $1,741.10 by market close, down from $1,750.55 at Monday's close.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $70.80 per barrel as of 6.15 p.m. local time (1515GMT).
