Turkey's Borsa Istanbul looking up at close

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended Monday up 0.22% to close at 1,086.20 points.

After starting at 1,085.52 points on Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 2.37 points from 1,083.83 points at Friday's close.

One ounce of gold sold for $1,959.30 by market close, up from $1,946.00, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent oil was $45.17 per barrel as of 6 p.m. local time (1500GMT) on Monday, with a day range of $44.52 to $45.22.
