Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up 0.9% at Monday's close

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkey’s benchmark stock index closed Monday at 1,454.25 points, up 0.90% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,449.10 points, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index has gained 12.92 points from Wednesday's close of 1,441.33 points, the last transaction day before going into a break due to the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The price of one ounce of gold was $1,845.80 by market close, up from $1,833.50 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul’s Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $69.30 per barrel as of 6:20 p.m. local time (1520GMT).
