Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up at close

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed Tuesday at 101,212.91 points with an increase of 0.60% versus the previous close.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 100,614.28 points. As of the close, it had gained 607.92 points from the last week's close of 100,604.99 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,493.50 by market close, down from $1,512.00 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $63.50 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Tuesday.
