Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up nearly 1% at weekly close
BIST 100 index increases over 900 points

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index rose by 0.95% to close Friday at 96,485.32 points.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 95,821.21 points. It soared 912.20 points from Thursday's close of 95,573.12 points.
In Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, the price of one ounce of gold was around $1,412.40 by market close, up from $1,404.50 the previous day.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $65.50 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) Friday.
