Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up some 3.4% at close
BIST 100 index increases over 3,250 points, while Turkish lira gains in value against foreign currencies

ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index jumped by 3.37% to close Monday at 99,735.68 points.
While Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 98,662.85 points with a 2.26% increase, it soared 3,250.36 points from the last week's close of 96,485.32 points.
In Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, the price of one ounce of gold was around $1,394.20 by market close, down from $1,412.40 the Friday's close.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $65.70 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) Monday.
