A group of 19 economists forecast $2.6B current account deficit for November

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's current account deficit is expected to stand at $2.6 billion in November, 2016, a group of economists said on Monday.
A panel of 19 experts questioned by Anadolu Agency predicted on average a $2.6 billion deficit for November, marking a half billion dollar rise, i.e. a 23 percent increase compared to a $2.1 billion deficit in November 2015.
The country's current account deficit figures for last November are set to be made public on Wednesday, Jan. 11.
The economists also forecast that Turkey's year-end current account deficit will reach $34.3 billion -- the highest forecast at $36 billion, the lowest at $32.8 billion. The country's deficit was $32.2 billion in 2015.
Turkey's current account deficit in October was $1.67 billion with a 12-month rolling deficit of approximately $33.8 billion, according to the Turkish Central Bank.
