Turkey's energy import bill up 2.7 pct in Feb. 2019
Total imports cost nearly $13.59 billion in February, with energy accounting for 25.32 percent

ANKARA(AA) - Turkey's energy import bill increased by 2.7 percent to over $3.44 billion in February compared to the same month of 2018, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Friday.
The data shows that Turkey's overall import bill, including energy and other items, reached $13.59 billion in February, with energy accounting for 25.32 percent.
The country's crude oil imports showed almost a 78.3 percent increase over the same period compared to February 2018.
Turkey imported approximately 2.34 million tons of crude oil in February, up from 1.31 million tons for the same period of 2018.
