Turkish Civil Aviation inks bilateral aviation agreement with Solomon Islands

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's flight network reached 172 countries after the signing of a bilateral aviation agreement with the Solomon Islands, the Turkish Civil Aviation announced Tuesday.
The agreement was signed by Ali Riza Colak, permanent representative of International Civil Aviation Organization, and Peter Shannel Agovaka, communications and aviation minister of Solomon Islands, on Oct. 3 in Montreal, according to a statement.
The deal will allow Turkey and Solomon Islands to carry passengers and cargo five times a week to every airport in the two countries.
Solomon Islands is a nation in the South Pacific Ocean, that lies east of Papua New Guinea.
Diplomatic relations between Turkey and Solomon Islands were established in 1979.
