World Turkish Business Council Congress to bring together important names from Turkish diaspora

ISTANBUL (AA) - The World Turkish Business Council will host a gathering in Istanbul that will bring together important names from the Turkish diaspora.
Operating under the umbrella of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) and chaired by DEIK President Nail Olpak, the council continues to host events that assemble Turkish entrepreneurs who strive to make Türkiye effective in the international arena and Turkish professionals who are at the head of the decision mechanisms of international companies.
In this context, the World Turkish Business Council Congress will be held from Sept. 15-16.
Aiming to develop commercial and economic activities among the Turkish business community residing abroad, the council targets to resolve problems of Turkish entrepreneurs around the globe and to improve Türkiye’s image.
The congress will be attended by high-level Turkish-origin and Türkiye-friendly businesspeople living abroad, managers of international companies, entrepreneurs, economists, experts, artists, athletes, politicians, bureaucrats and academics, bringing together around 3,000 diaspora representatives.
It is scheduled to be opened with the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and attended by Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat and Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Hakan Fidan.
The ministers responsible for trade and the economy of Organization of Turkic States member countries are also expected to take part.
Previously, the World Turkish Business Council organized events in 2009, 2011 and 2016 with the participation of more than 2,000 Turkish entrepreneurs and professionals from 80 countries.
Their work continues to bring together thousands of diaspora representatives living abroad.
Aiming to foster coordination and networking between Turkish origin or Türkiye-friendly businesspeople living abroad, the congress expects to make a significant contribution to the country's economy.
Opportunities for the Turkish diaspora and problems faced by it will be discussed at the congress.
In addition, bilateral business meetings will form the basis for Turkish entrepreneurs to establish cooperation and partnerships.
