Turkish company Karmod completes prefabricated housing project in Georgia

ISTANBUL (AA) – Turkish prefabricated building company Karmod has completed the installation of new homes in Batumi, Georgia, as part of its ongoing expansion into nearby markets, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Our safe, steel-constructed prefabricated homes are seeing high demand, especially from countries close to Turkey, due to their rapid assembly advantages,” Karmod’s Foreign Trade Director Ziya Yanik said.

He noted that Karmod has recently completed similar housing projects in Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, and Montenegro.

Yanik added that the company customizes its prefabricated homes according to the climate conditions of the destination country.

The company produced two separate 51-square-meter, two-bedroom homes in a modular format in Batumi. The buildings will be shipped by road and assembled on-site.

The houses, designed as standalone residences, were built to meet the specific needs of individual homeowners in Georgia.

Karmod’s focus on lightweight and easily transportable designs has made it easier to expand its reach in regional markets, with individual housing exports steadily increasing, according to Yanik.
