Turkish contractors undertake $17.8B worth of overseas projects in 2022

ANKARA (AA) - Turkish contractors undertook $17.8 billion worth of overseas projects in 2022, Trade Minister Mehmet Mus said on Monday.
Mus said that Türkiye's contracting sector left most of its rivals behind in overseas markets.
The total number of projects undertaken until the end of 2022 has increased to 11,605 and the total value of the projects increased to $471.7 billion, he said.
"In 2022, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is again in first place with a 37.6% share in terms of project size. It was followed by Europe by doubling its share to 24.5% and the Middle East with 18.5%," Mus said.
With a share of 12.7%, the minister said, Türkiye enhanced its presence in Sub-Saharan Africa.
