PRAGUE, Czechia (AA) - The Turkish Embassy residence in Prague was part of a “24-hour drawing marathon” on Saturday conducted by nearly 30 artists from European countries.
As part of the event, organized by Czech artist Jan Vitek, the residence was painted from different perspectives and with various techniques such as charcoal and watercolor.
Turkey's Ambassador to Prague Egemen Bagis initiated the event in which the artists drew the important locations of the city using different painting techniques during the 24 hours.
“We hosted nearly 30 artists in our official residence, whom we persuaded to spend three hours of these 24 hours at the Turkish Embassy residence in Prague,” said Bagis.
The building has been used by Turkey since the 1940s and bought in 1974 thanks to initiatives of former Turkish Foreign Minister Ihsan Sabri Çaglayangil, he said.
